Eyes of blood

Zoe GibsonPosted by Zoe Gibson 03 Nov, 2009 06:54PM
Eyes red with rage,
I tremble in anticipation,
Edging closer.
Just, moments away.

It breaks,
As it meets my fist.
The vase shatters before me.

But it wasn't enough.
soft human flesh,
brittle bones,
was my true desire.

I know I'm always late in commenting on things, but I really, really like this. I think its one of your best poems.

I love it because its simple, and all the more affective because of it. It encompasses so much emotion and frustration into twelve little lines.

i think i might have mentioned to you earlier that i can totally relate to this poem.

i can see the frustration through the words. You have a knack of conveying a lot of feeling in your poems.
